breast enlargement:
What if I (or my significant other) do not feel that Dr Dowden is a good match for me?
That could happen. Not everyone is well-suited for everyone else, and a great part of our lives is spent trying to find people who are a good match for the various interactions we wish to undertake. The hundreds of thank-you cards and letters received from happy patients are greatly appreciated by Dr Dowden and his staff, all of whom work very hard to help the patient realize her dream. But Dr Dowden is the first to acknowledge that these are all from patients who already knew before operation that there was a good match between their personality and Dr. Dowden and his staff. Looked at another way, these patients had already been pre-selected, either by themselves or by Dr Dowden, on the basis that they would be highly likely to have a good working relationship with Dr Dowden and his staff, a solid grasp of all the implications of surgery, and realistic expectations about the results.
As expected, from time to time there are instances where the patient (and/or her significant other) may not feel comfortable with Dr Dowden, or who may prefer an approach different from his, or for any of hundreds of other possible reasons may prefer to go elsewhere for their care. Perhaps they may find him too serious, or too confident, or too precise, or too particular for their liking. And too, it happens from time to time that Dr Dowden may not feel comfortable with a particular patient and/or her significant other, and then he will encourage her, subtly or overtly, to go elsewhere.
Any surgery, but most particularly plastic surgery, must be a partnership between surgeon and patient, and only if it seems likely that a good working relationship will result, should an operation be planned. By holding to that principle, patients can maximize the probability that they will be pleased with their outcome. Perhaps then they may wish to send the plastic surgeon a thank-you card!
