breast enlargement through-the-navel ( TUBA ):
Are the results of the belly-button breast augmentation the
same as with other methods?
My own experience in doing over 1200 of these procedures since 1992 has confirmed that the final appearance of the breasts after the belly-button breast augmentation is the same as, or perhaps slightly better than, it would be after comparable traditional methods. The reason for that is that the plastic surgeon can actually view the final shape of the breast while the pocket is being developed. This allows for very accurate correction of unequal or asymmetrical breasts, and very accurate placement of the implants.
Of course the main difference in appearance is the absence of scars on or near the breast. Another benefit of the navel method is that, for women who want very large implants, they can be inserted without worry about the resulting tension trying to re-open the incisions. And in addition, less tension on the newly-healing incisions means less pain during recovery.
The "TUBA" procedure also has some additional advantages. Because there is no cutting behind, or in the vicinity of, the breast, there is less interference with the sense of touch of the nipple, less bleeding, less pain, and a quicker recovery than with the other methods, especially when the implants are in front of the muscle.
